Charlotte Tilbury has been ALL the rage over social media lately. From her skincare to her makeup, the stunning packaging is eye-catching!
I was recently gifted some of her products in PR, and have had the chance to try Charlotte Tilbury's Entire Magic line. I have been using the Magic Serum, the Magic Cream, the Magic Eye Cream, and the Magic Night Cream.
Here is the tea on what I experienced!
It is no secret that Charlotte Tilbury products are expensive.
This post is to help you decide if you should save the coin, or splurge! I will be giving you my unbiased reviews and experiences with each of the products.
The Magic Serum
"Reduces appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, visibly brightens, and plumps skin for flawless makeup application.
Clinical Results: In a clincal study of 31 people over 8 weeks: Pores appear reduced by 39%, Fine lines & wrinkles appear reduced by 34%, Skin moisture level boosted by 172%, Skin appears firmer by 49%. " (sephora.com )
I honestly have been loving using this! I have been incorporating it into my routine for about a month now, and have definitely seen some results! I feel like my skin is brighter and more bouncy! I also feel like my skin barrier is more repaired than before I started using this serum. I don't even have to use a lot because it is a very thick, rich, hydrating serum that goes a long way!
I do the serum is worth the price at $80 for 30ml. It delivers real results, but I do think the packaging in general for all her products contributes a lot to the price. It is definitely a great splurge to put on your wishlist!
The Magic Cream
"Age-defying moisturizer with hyaluronic acid to plump the look of skin and diminish the look of wrinkles, leaving your complexion visibly glowing and prepped for flawless makeup. The formula floods skin with moisture, making it look plumper and smoother for a visible transformation rapidly and over time.
Clinical Results: In a 4-week clinical trial with 129 people: 98% agreed their skin felt rapidly moisturized, 93% agreed their complexion was glowing, 91% saw a significant plumping effect." (sephora.com )
I have been using this for about a month as well, and I also gave one to my mom. I do really enjoy using this cream. It is very thick and rich, and you don't have to use a lot to get results, just like the serum.
I also like that there is a refill option for the packaging, which is great! The packaging is glass and very sleek, and looks very luxurious. My mom has let me know that she also likes using this product! Definitely a splurge at $100 for 50ml, but I recommend it if you are wanting some serious skincare!
The Magic Night Cream
"time-released retinol to visibly firm and plump your skin overnight. Delivering intensive moisture from a matrix of plant stem cells, time-released retinol, co-enzyme Q10, and vitamin E, this oil-infused cream-elixir feeds your skin overnight for a dewy, bouncy look in the AM.
Clinical Results: In a 4-week clinical study of 103 people: 99% agreed their skin felt intensely nourished, 98% agreed their skin felt bathed in moisture, 94% agreed it felt like an overnight youth boost." ( sephora.com )
This cream is super moisturizing to my skin. Using it at night is nice because when I wake up, my skin feels bouncy and rejuvenated! I do think you could achieve this with a cheaper night cream, but if you are older especially, this cream will work very nicely with your routine.
It is very pricey at $145 for 50ml, but it does have a refill option that is $130 for 50ml, so it is a little cheaper if you don't really care much about packaging and want to save $20! I also like the refill because the packaging is very environmentally conscious.
The Magic Eye Cream
What it Claims: "Protects against signs of aging, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and brightening the look of dark circles. Visibly re-energize your delicate under-eye area with this magical cream. Powered by time-released retinol molecules, the formula works to visibly refine and resurface your skin for more youthful- and radiant-looking eyes. Its rich texture glides on to hydrate, soothe, and reduce the look of puffiness for a rapid, visible refresh.
Clinical results: In a 4-week clinical trial of 103 people: 97% agreed their skin felt immediately hydrated, 94% agreed their skin looked and felt smoother, 92% agreed their eyes appeared energized." ( sephora.com )
I really do think this eye cream is worth it, it is 15ml for $65 but it is sold as a refill as well for $59. I love how this eye cream makes my undereyes look!
The time released retinol works really well for my skin, and I do love how hydrated it keeps my undereye area. It's for sure a great eye cream if you are looking for an effective one!
So in conclusion, I really feel like the products are worth the hype if you can afford them. I do think packaging plays a part in being more pricey, but some people love the packaging so it's a personal preference.
The refills are also super nice as well.
Really the only one I could live without as a 25 year old is the Magic Night Cream. Charlotte is really not playing around with the formulations of these products, and if you use them religiously you will definitely see results.
